CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP

(Chauffeur Car-Hire Section)

In keeping with the Guild’s Committee undertaken policy not to involve ourselves with the situation of receiving or having to claim commissions due on recommendations, January 1994 saw the introduction on a nation-wide scale of our Corporate Membership section, allowing Companies and individuals to bring their product or services to the attention of our members and clients through recommendations by the Guild and all for an advertising fee equivalent to less than £4 per week. i.e. £235 p.a.(inc.VAT).

Since 1994 and as the direct result of the past and continued nation-wide Press media coverage received, the expansion of our business has far exceeded our expectations.

As such and purely by accident, we seem to have become recognised by both our vast portfolio of clients as well as the world of Trade and Industry, as a national and central ‘Chauffeur Car Hire Bureau’, through which clients expect recommendations to members in that industry who offer their services in a particular make of car which often involves Classics, American longstretch, etc.

As our speciality established over the past 15 years is that of Membership, Security Chauffeur Training and Temporary and Permanent employment, we have no desires to establish a ‘Car-Hire’ section of sub-contractors on the usual commission basis.

Clients enquiring are given no more than 3 telephone numbers of members who are in the area an operate the make(s) of vehicles that the client requires. It will then be up to you to receive their enquiry and negotiate the booking.

As a gesture of our appreciation for the voluntary payment of the Corporate Fee current at the time, accepted members will be automatically authorised to use and print the famous Guild logo and to claim ‘Registered with the British Chauffeurs Guild’, on any stationary and literature that they may choose to their considered best advantage throughout the period of any current membership year.

Corporate Membership fee received continue to be a vital lifeline which enables the Guild to be even more flexible to application received from the unemployed, wishing to attend the Security Chauffeur Training Course when genuine financial hardships exists and allows us to give reduced rates and often free places on courses when this help is required.

The British Chauffeurs Guild is a self-supported organisation run by Chauffeurs for Chauffeurs and functions as a non-Government grant organisation and without commercial sponsorship. As such, we depend on your support by putting something back and helping us to continue to raise the standards of this very traditional and worthwhile profession.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you need any further assistance or information.
